Bridesmaides Dresses

Standard

So we are going back to the original plan due to ordering custom made dresses being so difficult.  We tried =/…   Here are the requirements for the dress.  It must be a maxi either burnt orange or a tealish turquoise. You can refer back to My Colors for an example of what I’m referring to.  I don’t mind what fabric you choose as long as the dress is elegant and you look beautiful in it. Make sure to send me a picture of your dress before you purchase.

Groomsmen

Standard

For the groomsmen the suits are going to be a mix of different styles but all black slacks and a white dress button up shirts.  Here are some ideas boys.  Make sure to add a little bit of your style to the look.  Whatever you do don’t out dress the groom, his suit will be like the one in the middle.

Here is an idea of the look we are going for. They don’t have to necessarily be exactly the same as the picture, this is just an example.  Be creative, bow tie, tie, scarf, tie, suspenders, no suspenders, hat, vest, whatever floats your boat.

If the little rascals can do it so can you =)

Our Forest Wedding Gone Beach Wedding

Standard

Due to sudden changes Matt and I had to relocate our wedding.  I searched and searched to find the perfect place in the forest and nothing seemed to work.  Thank goodness for Matt’s dad Joe we finally found a spot right here in our home town… Long Beach!  Overall it seems that it is going to work better for everyone.  More of our family and friends will be able to attend!!  We will be having the ceremony right on the sand next to the pier during sunset.  After the ceremony we will be having our reception at the end of the Belmont Pier.  It is great location over looking the water with the beautiful Long Beach city lights and Queen Mary in the distance.

It was difficult for me to adapt my ideas to a bohemian beach theme at first but I got some inspiration and am excited to make it happen!!  Another great thing is that we will have a whole week to decorate!!!

I really am hoping to have a Wedding Arch Chuppah Canopy.  I searched online for several hours to try to find the best deal either by renting one or buying one.  I discovered that not many places carry what I was looking for and when I found something  close it was more than I wanted to pay (over $120 for ok looking ones and about $250 for nicer ones), so I checked out about creating my own Chuppah.  They are really not difficult to make and I can use a number of different materials. I originally wanted to make one of bamboo but I’m not sure if I prefer to use birch branches instead.  I found an amazing deal on bamboo poles and they have a lot of offerings of free shipping which can be the most expensive part.

Here are some images of what I’m hoping to build =)

Honeymoon

Standard

So we have decided that we would rather put more money into our wedding right now and save our Costa Rica excursion as a 5 year honeymoon goal =)!  Matt has never been to San Francisco so we are going to take a road trip up and take Hwy 1 down along the coast stopping at sight-seeing places down.  I was thinking Hearst Castle, Santa Barbra, San Francisco, Redwood Forest, Napa Valley for a hot air balloon ride and wine tasting, Morro Bay, whale watching in Monterey, The Ghetty Center, and whatever else we may find on the way!

If you guys have any other areas you think are a must go please let me know through the comments below!
